Webinar Description: This 60-minute webinar will help the attendee understand how to stage residents with dementia using the Global Deterioration Scale, as well as various characteristics of the stages that we see in the LTC setting, and targeted treatment approaches for patients in each stage. As therapists or nurses, knowing the stage of a patient with dementia will assist you in crafting your approach to that particular patient in such a way that your interaction with them will be pleasant and successful. This webinar will be presented by Seagrove Rehab’s RVP, Elizabeth Johnson, who is a PT and Certified Dementia Practitioner.

New Evaluation Codes - Key Concepts and Strategies for Therapists and Therapy Managers

Webinar Description: In November, Medicare published the Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule for Calendar Year 2017. This rule introduces a three-tiered evaluation system for PT and OT evaluations that went into effect starting January 1, 2017. This 75-minute webinar (plus time for questions) was designed to help you and your team understand the new physical and occupational therapy evaluation codes. Mark McDavid is an occupational therapist, Medicare consultant, and board member for the National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA) for which he leads the SNF Special Interest Group. He has a proven track record for operationalizing Medicare updates and changes and will help your team understand the specifics of the new evaluation codes.
