Webinar: Section GG and Collaboration - Strategies for Therapists, Nurses, and MDS Coordinators

Audience: This webinar is designed for Therapists, Nurses/Directors of Nursing, MDS Coordinators, and anyone on the interdisciplinary team who is interested in understanding Section GG. 

Webinar Description: This 60-minute webinar will help the attendee understand the coding requirements contained in the upcoming Section GG MDS update effective October 1, 2018. Mark McDavid is a therapist, AANAC Expert Advisory Panel member, and MDS expert with a unique perspective regarding this updated section. He has a proven track record for operationalizing Medicare updates and will help your team understand when Section GG is to be completed, who should be completing it, and strategies on how to capture the information correctly. Webinar Description:  In November, Medicare published the Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule for Calendar Year 2017. This rule introduces a three-tiered evaluation system for PT and OT evaluations that went into effect starting January 1, 2017.  This 75-minute webinar (plus time for questions) was designed to help you and your team understand the new physical and occupational therapy evaluation codes. Mark McDavid is an occupational therapist, Medicare consultant, and board member for the National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA) for which he leads the SNF Special Interest Group. He has a proven track record for operationalizing Medicare updates and changes and will help your team understand the specifics of the new evaluation codes. By the end of this webinar you will:

  1. Understand how the Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule for CY 2017 may impact your therapy program or clinic.
  2. Understand the three levels of evaluation for PT and OT and which to use, and when.
