- New 2018 Webinar -
open for registration

We have scheduled another PDPM 101 webinar since the first one is full, this is the open registration event:

Webinar: Patient Driven Payment Model 101

Time/Date: 1:00PM - 2:30PM Eastern on Thursday, June 7, 2018

Audience: This webinar is designed for Administrators, Billing Office Managers, MDS Coordinators, Therapy Managers, Therapists, and anyone on the interdisciplinary team who is interested in understanding the proposed Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM).

Webinar Description:  This 75-minute webinar (plus time for questions) has been designed to help you and your team understand the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) published by CMS on April 27, 2018. This proposal completely changes the current RUGs based payment system and will fundamentally change the way that operators manage and oversee their teams. Much like how PPS impacted the industry in the early 2000s, this new payment system will create winners and losers and may be devastating to facilities/companies not ready for such change. The first step in successfully navigating change of this magnitude is to understand where we are going and how things will be changing in the future. Attending this webinar will give you a head start on understanding the proposed PDPM. The knowledge gained will be helpful as you begin to create a strategic plan and modify your current operation so that your facility/company can stay ahead of the curve. By the end of this webinar you will:

  1. Understand the new Patient Driven Payment Model and how a per diem is calculated.
  2. Understand how the proposed payment structure may impact your therapy program.
  3. The attendee will review sample case studies and understand the potential impact of PDPM.

Length of webinar: 75 minutes plus time for Q and A.

What it includes: This webinar is free. Only one registration is needed if your facility will be on the call together using one line. Please try to consolidate lines as space for the event is limited. Prior to the webinar you will receive a copy of the slide deck and any applicable handouts. Because this webinar is complimentary, we will not be mailing a recording after the event as we have in the past.

Speaker: Mark McDavid is an occupational therapist, Medicare consultant, AANAC Expert Advisory Panel member, and board member for the National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA) - for whom he leads the SNF Special Interest Group. He has a proven track record of operationalizing Medicare updates and will help your team understand the specifics of the new proposed payment system.

Note: If this webinar becomes full, click here to sign up for our updates and you will receive an email when we schedule our next webinar and open registration.
